Fuel System Icing Inhibitor - Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII) is an additive to aviation fuels that prevents the formation of ice in fuel lines. FSII is sometimes referred to by the genericized trademark Prist®.
Inerting system - An inerting system is a device that attempts to increase the safety of a fuel tank, ball mill, or other sealed or closed-in tank that contains highly flammable material, by pumping nitrogen, steam, carbon dioxide, or some other inert gas or vapor into its air space in order to displace oxygen. With no oxygen (or, at least, an insufficient oxygen level) in the tank, the fuel cannot ignite, and explosions cannot occur.
Fuel pump - A fuel pump is an essential component on a car or other internal combustion engined device. Fuel has to be pumped from the fuel tank to the engine and delivered under low pressure to the carburetor or under high pressure to the fuel injection system.
Anti-lock braking system - An anti-lock braking system (commonly known as ABS, from the German name "Antiblockiersystem" given to it by its inventors at Bosch) is a system on motor vehicles which prevents the wheels from locking while braking.
